Why My XCMG XE335DK Hydrualic Excavator has abnormal noise from the engine?
Equipment information: XCMG XE335DK 30 ton Hydraulic Crawler Excavator Machine with Hammer Bucket
Engine Model: Cummins QSL9,
Worked Time(MI/KM/HRS): 2863h,
Failure Describtion: There are some abnormal noises from my XCMG XE335DK 30 ton Hydraulic Crawler Excavator Machine with Hammer Bucket
Field inspect:
The intake manifold's temperature has alarms code of 488 when we connect the computer, There were abnormal noises from the engine cylinder when my technical started on the cummins QSL9 engine. After removing the rocker arm housing cover, check the rocker arm, it was found that 1 push rod for cylinder 2 was damaged, the technical replaced a new push rod on, and the abnormal noises disappeared during the subsequent engine testing, The engine wiring was checked and confirmed to be normal. The intake temperature sensor was then replaced, and after the fault was eliminated, engine testing was normal.
Failure conclusion:
A push rod and intake temperature sensor have been damaged.
